If you enjoy having a a drink occasionally, leave your cash at home if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your pocketbook, your billfold, and leave all money, credit cards and chequebooks back at the hotel. Pack whatever money you expect to use on drinks, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to squander and keep the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not at all. Just realistic. You might have a success after a drunken evening out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hook a marathon toss at a hot craps game. Hang on to that adventure because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you continuously drink alcohol and wager. The pair simply don’t mix.
Leaving your moola back at the hotel might be a little drastic, but defensive actions for excessive behavior is necessary. If you wager to succeed, then do not consume alcohol and play. If you are able to afford to be wasteful with your $$$$ without a worry, then drink all the complimentary booze your stomach are able to handle, but do not carry credit cards and cheques to throw into the mix of chasing losses after your hooched up head loses all the cash!
Allow me to take this 1 step further. Don’t consume alcohol and then go on the internet to play in your best-liked casino either. I enjoy a beverage from the comfort of my apartment, but since I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have charge cards near by, I can not drink alcohol and wager.
Why? Even though I do not drink to excess, when I consume alcohol, it is definitely sufficient to befuddle my better judgment. I gamble, so I do not consume alcohol when wagering. If you are a drinker, do not bet when you do. Both create an awful, and expensive, drink.
